Sears, youre killing me! Nothing could make me shop on - TopicsExpress

Sears, youre killing me! Nothing could make me shop on Thanksgiving except for the fact our 15-yr old washer/dryer is living on borrowed time and Sears had an impressive price on a door buster model. Took the bait and arrived at Sears a few minutes before 6 on Thursday evening. Spent around $1100 on a nice set... Wait, I rang up the wrong washer! I can fix this. So he credited my debit card $402 and then re-rang another $472 and then credited me the $70 to make up for the free delivery he couldnt get the computer to accept on the second sale. So now Ive been charged around $1600 for my $1100 washer and dryer. Then I get a text Saturday informing me my dryer will be delivered on Tuesday, December 2nd and my washer will be delivered on Monday, December 29th. I can fix this. Tonight I get a call from the salesperson saying we need to cancel the whole transaction and then re-bill the washer/dryer. Still havent got the $402 or the $70 credits in my account and they want to credit me $1100 and then rebill me another $1100 to start the process all over and get the pieces delivered on the same day, which of course will now be delayed a few days. Then my wife finds out the washer is $100 less on the website than we paid as a door buster, so she sweetly demands that we get the better price. Yes, I can fix this. So... tomorrow we have to make sure we really have been credited the original $472 before we cancel the $1100 sale and re-ring the new sale at the correct price with free delivery of both pieces on the same day. Oh, and dont forget the energy credit. Did you follow that? I seldom shop at Sears. I think it will be even seldomer after this. Who needs identity theft when we have Sears?
