Sobantus back to Joburg, he knows that Lattita may have destroyed his love life, but his willing to fight, but all hes concerned about is Bulis untimely death. Tno has gone back to work (Durban) just when he landed he received the news and was devastated... Funeral arrangements are well on the way, Nicoles uncles and extended family members have been arguing about where Buli should be laid to rest, either Limpopo or here in Daveyton, everyday theres a family meeting, Noli and Nicole just dont have the energy for any of this, meanwhile there is an uncle in the family, whos been asking about monies from her funeral covers, and life policies, hes only concern is how much hes getting. It is now Thursday afternoon, the funeral will be on Saturday. Its raining outside. The mamas from Bulis church group and her stockvel came for prayer, Lorreins busy preparing tea and some scones. As they were busy singing, Nicole got a call from Clientele, confirming claim approval and that the money should be deposited anytime from now, as she was about to get back in the house she saw Sobantu, who asked her for a second: Teary Sobantu hugs her, she starts crying. This is just too much for a person to bare, I dont think am gonna make it through this time (she cries and cries). Sobantus holding it inn, trying to encourage her, finally, few minutes later the hugging is over. Nicole tells him about the claim approval, and asks him to join her and Noli later when the prayers over plan for everything. Sadly the Uncle (Andile) whos been asking about the money, overhead the conversation. This used to be Bulis favorite song, Nolis singing with conviction, she remembers one Sunday afternoon, they (Buli, Noli, Nicole) were cooking and singing the song, she remembers it like it happened yesterday, she cries so hard, as the choir gets to the second verse. Nicole and Lorrein hug her, they are also in tears, Nolis asking why did her mom had to leave them so soon, why did God take her away from them, one of the church members comes with a glass of water trying to calm her down. The pain is just beyond explanation. Sobantus busy outside off loading groceries and checking if everything is in order. Andile comes to Sobantu and asks him how does he know Nicole, and what they were talking about, Sobantus giving him that who are you kinda look. And replies we just friends, and we used to work together . Andiles giving him third degree. Meanwhile back in the house, they are now reading the book of Proverbs 3 vs 5. The prophetess starts sharing and encouraging friends and family. Because of love, we became strangers.
