Seasonal Fishery Warden Location: CorbyDuration: TemporarySalary: £7.25 per hourHours: Full Time Our client is looking to recruit a Seasonal Fishery Warden. Operating the intruder alarm and shutters, ready for the start of business. At the end of each day close all windows and doors, closing shutters, setting intruder alarm,and locking the gates, ensuring that all visitors are safely off the premises. Clean and bale the boats, attach fuel tanks, topping up the fuel tanks as necessary, assuring that petrol has been made available from the CPS and check that boats, and all associated equipment, are in a fit state for hire, reporting any faults to the Warden; ensuring a smooth running of the site at all times and in line with customer service requirements. Carry out bank and boat patrols, limits/life jacket and visitor access checks, on a daily basis, using CCTV, as necessary. Bailiff patrols on foot. Issuing permits ensuring that all visitors/contractors are made aware of the safety rules and regulations. Cashing up must be carried out discreetly, and in staff pairs; reconciling ticket money daily, handing to a key holder member of staff for daily transfer to the safe. Deal with customer and telephone enquiries and bookings in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner, offering freely advice and tuition options where necessary. Ensure that all visitors/contractors book in and out, in the visitor’s book and ensure that visitors record all catch details, any notable catches. Maintain statistics, summarising returns and details. Keep the site clean and tidy, inside and out, at all times throughout their shift (emptying litter bins, window cleaning and general cleaning of all facilities). This includes general maintenance and cleaning of the lodge, the immediate surrounding area (car parks, outdoor litter bins etc)and valeting company vehicles. Assist in grass and hedge cutting, as and when required. Assist in stocking the site weekly, throughout the season as andwhen deliveries occur. Update the website on a daily basis ensuring information is kept fresh and up to date interact with anglers using social media ie Twitter, Blogging and Facebook. The jobholder will assist in stripping boats of fittings, balers, row locks, fire extinguishers, etc. washing and cleaning boats and preparing in readiness for the close season maintenance. Knowledge and Experience: The jobholder is generally expected to have, or to acquire a good knowledge of fly-fishing for reservoir trout, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate with a diverse cross section of the general public. Training/Qualifications: Health and Safety Awareness Induction Kinetic Lifting Risk Assessment IOSH Working Safely Boat Handling (RYA National Powerboat Certificate Level 2) Any additional training as necessary.
