Season’s greeting, Shochu-Omimai Moushi Agemasu! Dear all my friends, I trust that everything is going well with you and your family even under recent unusual climate all over the world, extreme heat wave in America, China and Europe, endless rain and floods in India. Here in Dubai, I am enjoying usual weather, around 45 degree, with no rain! It was quiet weekend, yesterday. I woke up and remember that my office PC was broken and supposed to go to Khaleej Center in down town Bur Dubai, where kind of messy and crowded area so I wanted to avoid driving the area. Then I recall my old British Bicycle, which I found puncture later, has been sleeping at backyard of my apartment. I decided to go for "Sole Tour de Duba"i! I brought him to repair shop, where I met a guy who did 24 hours seven peaks challenge in UK by mountain bike, not three peaks hiking I will do next weekend with my class mates, Perry and Alison. He is a Triathlon guru and gave me a lot of advice for three peaks challenge. Anyways, I start cycling my old bike first time ever in Dubai, under almost 50 degree, carrying my broken PC on my back. It was hot of course and also scary sometime as the drivers are not used to bikers, yes very few people riding sports type of bicycle in this town. But I was getting feel better, in hot breeze air and crazy traffics, gradually I found tiny nice shopping mall, one hundredth of Dubai Mall, Quran announcement from old small Mosques, and ordinary people, Indian, Pakistani, Western, East Asian,, all mixed and seems enjoy slow Ramadan afternoon. I kept on peddling and peddling for two hours and I reached Jumeirah Public Beach, where middle class expats (mostly Indian) and bid Emirate having relaxed time. There are few people in Ramadan summer; sea water is very warm and no nice breeze, so the beach was so quite. But I realize that I have learned something about people’s life, middle class and also rich class. I went back street of seaside rich residence area where I could check their car brand, how the house looks like, I felt like hunting shooting venue for luxury brand by the way. Yes, I could found lots of thing and smell the flavor of the town, which I never could do in my life if I drive only between my office and my flat. I should know people and their life more here in Dubai, wondering in totally soaking wet by sweat bled out from all my body. I chilled off, cooking simple tomato soup, with the sunset, starting of Iftar, Ramadan Kareem…Love and Peace for all, Why I still carried my broken PC in Jumeirah Beach? Shop was just closed for Ramadan siesta,,,
