Seattle burners and beyond - the Fremont Arts Council has been donated a rather interesting object. Its an english double decker touring bus, that was heavily modified into a promotional marketing vehicle for Brooks Sports. In a word, it is a perfect Burning Man art vehicle, for a whole camp. It has a cantilevered, motorized roof that lifts 8 feet above the upper deck, that is loaded with electronics cabling, power and video network. It has an entirely rebuilt, reinforced new upper deck that will sustain a huge dance party. Theres a complete set of heavy duty welded railings that hinge up out of the upper deck. Downstairs will make an amazing bar and lounge. Theres compressed air and electrical systems on board. It has a brand new diesel engine and transmission with less than 5000 miles on them. It has a spiral staircase to the upper deck, and double side doors to the lower deck. Basically, its a big ol bus that has had all the work done to it that you would need to do, to have a seriously kick-ass playa bus. Heres a link. Go slow, its a time-lapse of the creation of the Brooks Cavalcade tour bus. figureplant/…/brooks-cavalcade-of-curiositi…/ We would like to sell it, as a fundraiser, to support the Fremont Parade and other public events the FAC puts on. Were a bunch of volunteers doing community work/art - Please help us sell this bus! And get it on the playa as a giant new totally amazeballs art car!
