Second Annual Field of Drafts to Host More Than 40 Brewers This Saturday The City of Lancaster is pleased to announce the last round of “brewers” for the second annual Field of Drafts Craft Beer Festival to be held this Saturday, November 1, at Lancaster Municipal Stadium. In addition to the previously announced lineup of 35 breweries and distributors including Lancaster’s own Kinetic Brewing Company and Bravery Brewing; attendees can now count on an additional seven to be in attendance. The last round of picks includes: · Amstel Light – Since they began brewing their family of beers in 1870, Amstel has exported their brews to more than 120 countries. Though they no longer need to rely on the chilly waters of the Amstel River to keep them cold, each brew still delivers an authentic taste of its native land. They led the American light beer revolution with Amstel Light when it was first imported in 1980. At just 95 calories per bottle, its unique mixture of barley and hops delivers rich, full beer taste. · Coronado Brewing Company – In 1996, brothers Ron and Rick Chapman realized a long-time dream and got ahead of the craft brew curve in a big way, opening a brewpub in the heart of their hometown of Coronado, California. At that time, craft beer was still a foreign term and San Diego County was home to a mere handful of breweries, most of which were struggling to find their identity. Coronado Brewing Company has come a long way over the past 17 years and has remained an operation astutely focused on hometown pride and respect for the art of crafting quality beer. · Epic Brewing Company – They opened in Salt Lake City, Utah with six fermentation tanks giving them the flexibility to create a variety of small batch, artisanal beer. Within a few short months, Epic began earning medals for its beers both domestically and internationally. The beer became a big hit with locals and out of state visitors alike and demand quickly increased. The brewery currently houses eight times its original fermentation space. · Magic Hat Brewery – The Magic Hat Brewery has been putting a performance into every bottle of beer since 1994. Today, the South Burlington, VT based brewery is cranking out 400 bottles of beer every minute and the process, in all its strange and satisfying glory, has never been more accessible. The Magic Hat Artifactory, the nerve center of it all, is ready to take your taste buds to places you never knew existed. · Monkish Brewing Co. – Located in Torrance, California, Monkish Brewing Co. opened in March 2012 and houses a 15-barrel (1 barrel = 31 gallons) brewing system with fermentation and conditioning tanks. With more than 30 beers available at their brewery, ranging from Belgian-style to farmhouse saisons, there is something for everyone. · Speakeasy Ales & Lagers – Born and brewed in San Francisco, Speakeasy Ales & Lagers has been bringing great beer from the underground to the masses since 1997. Defiantly producing small batches of beer in a secret warehouse in San Francisco’s long forgotten Butchertown District, Speakeasy quickly gained a loyal following with bold, complex beers and striking 1920s imagery. From the brewery’s humble beginnings delivering hand-filled kegs out of the back of a van, the company now boasts more than 30 distributors along the West Coast and major metropolitan markets across the nation. · Third Shift – The first release in a series of award-winning beers, Third Shift is as much about collaboration as it is invention and the shared pride that comes from creating something truly great. Third Shift is a smooth, easy drinking amber lager - well balanced with a sweet maltiness that dominates slightly over a clean - hop bitterness.
