Second Block Watch Training scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th from 6-7pm! Jody Edwards will be holding a second Block Watch training at the Hartwell Rec Center (corner of Galbraith & Vine Street)! ALL HARTWELL RESIDENTS are welcome and encouraged to come to this training session, especially if you were unable to attend the first one!!! Training will be held on Tuesday, August 19th from 6pm to 7pm. Officer Edwards will go over safety issues and common sense crime prevention techniques. Shell also teach us how to observe and report suspicious activity so that police can best use the information. It will be the same night and place as the monthly HIA meeting, which starts at 7pm. So come on out, this is an easy opportunity to go to both meetings! Coming to a training session is a GREAT way to learn more about WHY we are doing Block Watch and to learn how this program would be beneficial to your street. Even if your street isnt formally collecting signatures yet, as an individual you can learn valuable tips of how to keep yourself and your family safe, how to observe and report suspicious behavior, and ways decrease problems specific to your street.
