Second Christmas day birth! Wonderful birth for first time parents.. Textbook early labor, all the way until transition.. and then the going gets tough; long final stages, as baby remains a bit high. Then, mom starts to push and it is super difficult for her. Baby will not come, and mom feels uncomfortable.. eventually with lots of encouragement, support and position changes, out comes a 3.7 kg baby boy - born to this 4 foot 11 inch mamma!! Memorable moments from this labor and birth: Mom (to husband): Do something, I want a cesarean Husband replies: I do not know how to do it, otherwise I would have done it right away! :) :) Laughter all around .. Husband (to mom): They tell me it becomes easy for the second birth. Mom replies: Then you have the next baby Husband: But our child will want a brother or sister. Mom: No way. If they want they can have their own baby when they grow up. This is the part of midwifery that we love.. birth usually resembles the normal life event that it should be. Thank you parents, for making us a part of your beautiful birth!
