Second (and last) day at magical Alta in Utah. Four inches of new snow overnight. The highlight is represented by that picture on the left. Its a steep tree-filled bumpy ungroomed Black Diamond (expert) trail called Spring Valley. Its not really a trail, more like some woods with room for skiers to move through them. I skied it without incident, which is a first for me. After first skiing it with incident. Meaning: I fell three times on the first try. But when you fall on something that steep, its more like leaning back into a snowy banquet. On the second try I nailed it. And the third. But the beauty part was that I used every single thing my teacher at Jackson Hole, Bill Moe, taught me. Literally: I was remembering the drills he had me do as I made my way down. So I am not stopping at advanced intermediate.
