Second band of 200km storm passed over, but was high and brought less rain than the first one. But theres one thing we never do after a storm has passed over, and thats go outside. Weve noticed theres usually one last dangerous lightning bolt and deafening thunderclap. Its as though pressure has built up and has to be released. Tonights farewell from the storm seemed like it was right overhead, and put out the lights for a few seconds. Noisy! The loudest rip of lightning and collision of superheated air Ive heard in a while. Melbourne has its annoying winter drizzle, but the summer storms in Southeast Queensland are simply spectacular!
