Second highlight is out! On 3rd June 2013, the team stayed in the district of Badhan, and visited the community of Buran. There, a market was being constructed, also with the first cycle of grants. This project is intended to benefit directly about 45 vulnerable beneficiaries. The Community had a maintenance and operation plan of $200. They reached this number thanks to 45 beneficiary that were charged a monthly fee of 2$ per head, and extra monthly household contribution. The community seemed organized and had a communal donation box in place with Diaspora support. This catered 5 primary teachers’ monthly salary. The team witnessed good community participation and ownership.
