Second question. Is anyone familiar with the term fin erosion as it applies to bettas? I bought a hmpk at auction, that had done a few shows in S.E.A and Australia, and at its last show, was showing some fin erosion of dorsal, basically a large scoop out of the top of the dorsal, but not scollop like. When I bought him, the dorsal was fine and it looks perfect now. However his caudal has shrunk a little around its edge. Not quite in an even manner, though it retains its over all halfmoon shape. I do not think it is fin rot, even though I have never owned a betta that has suffered from fin rot, and do not know what it looks like.
