Secret Service recovers device on grounds of White House A spokesman for President Barack Obama said Monday that a device was found on the grounds of the White House while the president and first lady were in India but that it posed no threat. Secret Service had no immediate comment on what it found. The New York Times reported that the device was a small drone Police, fire and other emergency vehicles swarmed around the White House in the pre-dawn hours, with several clustered near the southeast entrance to the mansion.
