Secret gardening mission on Saturday was a success. I joined a group of guerrilla gardeners and we made a covert garden spruce up for a friend whose wife was returning from being away for two months. He wanted to have one less thing on her list to have to do. We cut down a Charlie Brown tree, replaced it with a ginormous flowering dogwood, cleaned up some garden beds and put some splashes of color in the big pots. The verdict: mission accomplished! And I met some fun gardeners. Gardening for good not evil in Gotham! Of course I even got him to buy organic rose fertilizer so grandmas heritage roses are going no chem. Saving bees and hummingbirds one yard at a time. Pretty sweet guy to do that for his gals and we had great pizza, used some power tools, fired up a tractor to move the tree and had some good laughs.
