Secret police action. The press has been so irresponsible with its reporting that often today the police have to had facts from them. A few days ago a nursing student was killed had she was a passenger in a car riding down 10th Street near my home. Her friend the driver of the car was not injured. The police reported to the local paper that they had no leads or suspects. Meanwhile every cop in San Jose had a photo of the suspect shooter. They caught him a couple of days later. If they released the info to the press the suspect would have long gone to Mexico. I see this more and more on my job where I am told that they did not tell the press everything so they could catch the suspect or prevent the press from setting off a panic or to protect national security.
