Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove visited The Swanage School yesterday to meet teachers and students and to see our school in action. While with us, he took part in a maths lesson with Miss Maraspin, learnt from students about the extended projects they had been working on with Mrs Gray and Miss Milward in PBL and admired the wonderful printmaking taking place in the art room with Miss Farren. He was very impressed with the happy but studious atmosphere of the school and with the way the students were engaging with their work. He commented on the dedication of our staff and congratulated us on a very successful first year. Needless to say, our students were impeccably behaved, well-mannered and a real credit to the school and to their community.
