Secrets of the soul The pains of yesterday Destroy the joy for us today, the secrets of the past seems always just out of grasp There buried in our soul, And they lay there till there told. The pain of years before, Block true feeling just like a door. It imprisons us from the light, And leads us in the path of fright. We can not live in peace, For our secrets are our own beast. That destroy us over time, It makes us feel inside, that we are the ones that committed a crime so the solution is very clear, we must tell another the shame we hold so near. We free yourselves from the past, And just maybe we’ll be free at last. We’ll be strong as we break free, And no longer will the shame and guilt Have a hold on me. I shall hold my head up high, As I feel serenity inside. And a new love and trust will burn bright, So today I will at last see the light. As I move away from the past, I’ll feel happiness, love, joy and peace at last. So I’ll release the pain inside, And I will live and no longer hide!
