Section 131(d) of the 1999 Constitution allows anyone with school - TopicsExpress

Section 131(d) of the 1999 Constitution allows anyone with school certificates to contest any elective office in the country. If the constitution allows anyone with secondary school certificate to context for any elective office, why then are people crying that Buhari is not qualified enough to rule Nigeria? The constitution didnt say BSc, HND, PGD, masters, Phd, or even Prof only but it said from school certificates so, Buhari can present any school certificate and contest for the presidency. If thats the case, why are PDP now calling Buhari an illiterate? Is Buhari an illiterate? To me, Buhari is not an Illiterate not even a semi-illiterate but hes very literate. Who is an illiterate? An illiterate is best defined as someone who cant read and write. Can Buhari read? YES! Can Buhari write? YES! Then, why call him an Illiterate? Buhari is a retired major Gen, ex-governor, ex-minister, ex- PTF chairman and also ex-head of states of the federal republic of Nigeria. For someone to attain such posts or positions in Nigeria, he must be sound. If Buhari is dumb, he wont be able to attain all this positions either by crook or by hook. Buhari has the mental capacity and qualification to rule Nigeria/Nigerians because hes not an Illiterate. Vote wise, vote for Buhari/Osibanjo.
