Section 5.03 Of the Godhead We assert that God, in His eternality, omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence, exists as Word, or thought, and Spirit. In any act of procreation, God speaks or declares His thoughts out of His Spirit, which is His Word. Contained within each Word He speaks is the complete procreative instructions, architecture, and construction parameters for which He intended. For the purpose of redeeming fallen man, God, out of His divine intellect, declared that His Word should become flesh, for “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” “He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.” “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-3, 10, 14) He also declared that His Word which became flesh should be “…made of a woman, made under the law,” (Galatians 4:4), and should take “…upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men,” and be “…found in fashion as a man.” (Philippians 2:7-8) “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise; when as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matthew 1:18-23) God also declared that His Word which became flesh, should be “…given Him a name which is above every name.” (Philippians 2:9) He also declared that His Word which became flesh should be called “…JESUS“ (Matthew 1:21). He also declared that His Word which became flesh, which He also named Jesus, “…is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 1:17) This same Jesus is the expressed image of His, God’s, character (Hebrews 1:3), and contains within Himself all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Col 2:8-9). We therefore assert that this same Jesus is “…called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) We also assert that this same Jesus declares, “…Before Abraham was, I am.” (John 8:58) We also assert that this same Jesus declares that, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelations 1:8). We therefore fully assert that Jesus is completely God, and completely man; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
