Security experts criticize the manner in which authorities are handling publically the threat of terrorism that the country faces stressing that this could bring about complacence and also help in equipping the terrorists with vital information Former ESO boss David Pulkol says that the major challenge lies in the manner in which the security agencies are passing out information to the public sighting the contradictions which emerged between the USA embassy and Ugandan Authority On Thursday the US Embassy issued an International alert basing on information they say was gathered from the Ugandan police that terrorists were planning to attack Entebbe Airport and the Ugandan Parliament Yesteday the police confirmed that they has arrested two suspected terrorist after trailing them from the Airport to Forest Mall where they were arrested from only to deny later that the two were actually not terrorists Pulkol says that this is a major weakness which must be addressed urgently. Pulkol also says the alert sent out by the USA Embassy was actually true basing on the fact that the Embassy has the most advanced expertise to verify such information before going public. He however says it’s understandable for the Ugandan Government to reject an international alert given the consequences it can have on the economy especially the tourism sector Bubulo East Mp also former director of the East African Standby Brigade Simon Mulongo says there is a clear lack of command in most aspects and that this may indirectly aid the terrorists given the confusion which has emerged Mulongo who is also a member of the parliamentary committee on defence and internal affairs says that the security agencies must find a solution urgently Do you agree???
