Sedition Act used then and now has little difference. but this 1947 article, courtesy of Pusat Sejarah Rakyat, also shows that Societies Act needs to be overhauled to ensure it is not used to restrict the lawful activities of organisations and political parties (then and now). Another interesting point in this article is it is a news report and it puts out something on API, the organisation which has been declared unlawful. unfortunately, its on P4 and not available here, so we dont know what the information on API is like. but that it is put out there to supplement the main story is worth noting.
