Deuteronomy 30:15-16 Being a Christian is so difficult. We know the rules, we know the commandments and we understand the covenant we have agreed to. Yet life is relentless. We experience loneliness, rejection, illness, pain, and criticism. We see others around us grab up what they want without pause or guilt. We desire love and acceptance just like others, yet we deny our own needs in order to keep this covenant. Even our own kind reject us and find fault in us (read Job if you think Im exaggerating). As a good friend used to say Christians are the only ones who shoot their wounded. Is it any wonder we often seek solace within the world instead of remaining set apart? I pray Grace is sufficient, that is what God tells us....
