They will simply need to share their name, date of birth and social security number. Then the rep can instantly verify if they are in fact a veteran and eligible for benefits. The only folks not eligible are ones with a Dishonorable Discharge. Once connected with the VA, they have peer support that can help by going out into the streets, if the vet isnt comfortable going in their doors. Its super important to just get them connected. Caridad has TONS of resources for our homeless vets in Las Vegas. They working with Federal, State and Local VA to organize the outreach efforts.
