See all the hills in the background? This is only a fraction of my old stomping ground. Get up at sunrise, feed our many many animals. We had rabbits, guinea-pigs, horses, ferrets, birds, chooks, as well as whatever baby animals that we were raring at the time - lambs, calf, wallaby, possum (oh how I loved nipper!), devils . . . BUT I NEVER HAD A GOAT!! OH HOW I WANTED A GOAT!! Anyway, get home from the living hell that was high school after 4pm, carry 2X20 litre buckets of water over the hill for the sheepdogs and horses (about 1 km), feed all the animals again, maybe clean out some pens or split/load a few ton of wood, Then Id be able to go for a ride. Would go past the water hole where the pair of platypus lived (they actually had a baby one year - then there were three!), there was this beautiful little secluded spot with a waterfall where the water ran under the stones of the track and out the other side running down to meet the river. We would stop there for a bit and then gallop way out the back Although our house was next to the highway, I could get so far out on a horse, that there was total silence, nothing but maybe a bird or a wallaby in the bushes every now and then. #kelly_Hall the only friend who stood by me through thick and thin - even if it meant becoming a victim herself. And her friendship hasnt faltered, shes still here now. I got this pony called Danny from my best friend Kelly. They warned us hes a bit feral, he bolts and he bites, hes a naughty boy! lol So Im thinking Geez, the other horses are twice the size and they cant get it over me - how bad can this little pony be? My god that pony gave me a run for my money! Bruises from head to toe! Hed knock me off and leave me Ks from home, running home without me! Someone would see him snorting around the house paddock with is saddle still on and be like oh, Danny beat Pam home again and I was only allowed to ride him no further than the second gate after that (for safety reasons).
