Seeing You Dance ~a poem by Flower Rae Shearer (for Ahmed Maiwada) There You go! Waving your arms and your eyes are full of the sun. Oh, how You spin unplanned, and unrehearsed, white shirt comes untucked dark suit waving midnights banner propeller~tie, in transverse plane, extending out, full circle, poet~in~motion! The green air~mist of the forest, surrounds You and the sprite imbibes her way, woven into your breath. You are light and fire dancing on the cool waters surface. Your smile, widest, You cannot control, almost splits your face in thirds, your heart, made visible in your movement and in your pause. Just like me, You are rhythm, discovered in this dance, jubilance, a sweet boy inside a man. Layer upon layer upon texture and shape, the whole forest, in every conceivable variation of green exclaims delight seeing You dance, this whole world, with You, smiles widest and wildly sways.
