Seeing as everyone is posting about this, I dont see why I shouldnt. Today is the tenth anniversary of Darrell Dimebag Darrell Abbott. You may know this man as the guitarist for bands such as Damageplan and Rebel Meets Rebel, but the chances are you know him for being the mastermind behind PANTERA. Pantera have been one of my favorite bands since I was a mere child, years ago, I had first heard This Love and it confused me about how a song could go from such a beautiful part to a full on aggressive assault. And from that moment on, I was a PANTERA fan. I was a Pantera fan when Dimebag had passed, but wasnt aware of it for so long because as a child I was very inattentive to band members and news as such. So it wasnt until I really started paying attention that I found out Dimebag had passed. And that made me pretty sad. Ten years later, here we are. Its still sad that one of the best songwriters of all time had passed in such a violent and brutal way. Its such a shame. And with that, I give you my favorite Pantera song - Medicine Man.
