Seeing is believing? Or is it the other way around? This Sunday, 26 October, we will reflect on the message from John 9:24–38. A man born blind is miraculously healed by Jesus. he can only acknowledge the facts, seek out Jesus and become his disciple. On the other side of the table are the Pharisees who are ready to do anything to discredit both the healed man and Jesus. After all both are vile sinners. What happens when the transforming power of Jesus becomes a threat for the status quo of a religious institution? Come and think with us through the implications of the message of John 9. Come and let yourself be challenged by Jesus to be his witness and his disciple no matter what the cost.
