Seeing my Android-using friends posting articles on how certain features from iOS8 were on Android first, etc. Guys, borrowing ideas has been the norm for 2 decades. Both Microsoft and Apple borrow ideas from each other, and modify it to suit their own consumer experience. Why is this even a surprise? Heck, Google borrowed an entire OS to create Android (which was supposed to be like Blackberry until Google saw iOS and completely dumped their Blackberry-like attempt). The biggest surprise to me was that Apple now allows for custom keyboards — something they never did because of security issues (3rd party keyboards could be hacked and jacked and turn into keyloggers, sending your password data to hackers). I guess its because iOS8 has new sandboxing/security layers that prefer keyboard apps from sending / receiving data, meaning its at the level of security that Apple (and their users) expect. Not sure if Android cares as much about your default security though. I guess thats what all those anti-virus apps are for. :)
