Seeing this image reminds me of my own such experience in May of 2013, when I earned the title Cycling Savvy Instructor. Having been a cycling instructor in another program for several years, I found Cycling Savvy to be a far better way to teach the skills cyclists (of all experience levels) really need to navigate our roads as part of traffic. Cycling is already a remarkably safe activity, even when compared to motor vehicle use. Employing a few key strategies that Cycling Savvy teaches (and that the other program does NOT teach) makes cycling even safer for the individual bicycle driver. I am really glad that Southern California is becoming a hotbed of Savvy Cycling instruction. Im hoping that Kentucky will be on the list of hotbed states before long.
