Seeing this kid back on the court means more to me than I can ever express. Basketball has done so much for so many people but the biggest gift it gives is the way it helps build confidence. That confidence carries off the court and after playing and dedicating yourself to something you love, it helps you realize that theres nothing you cant do with a little hard work. Its the sole reason behind the statistical fact that people who have played a sport or dedicated themselves to some form of art are more likely to succeed. Everytime I see D Rose on the court after his two injuries, I think of this interview. I remember when they asked him if his career was over when he first got injured and they told him the statistics on his possibilities.. He said, Be stupid if you want to.
