“Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.” Isaiah 55:6 Today, there seems to be many people who believe in God, yet keep Him at a distance. They want Him available to call on in times of distress in their lives, but when things are going good, they are devoted to their success, their pleasures, and themselves. They place God in the closet in case of an emergency but for the most part, they do not consider Him an essential part of their daily lives. Their hearts do not feel or express appreciation for all that God is and has done. The message here is that the best time to seek and call upon Him is now. Dont put off seeking Him. Dont wait until tomorrow. Dont wait for brighter days or better times to seek Him. Dont wait until you get your life straight and things are going good. Dont wait until you are in a trial or facing problems and need an answer. Dont wait for all the right conditions to be present to seek the Lord and call upon Him. The time to seek Him is now. When is now? Now is always present- never in the future. Now is at this moment regardless of what is happening.
