Seems about right and if the police were empowered/supported once again to give youngsters a kick in the pants for minor misdemeanors then that might persuade our youth not to progress onto more serious crime and to respect discipline and normal social behaviour. I remember the local Police Sgts size 10 and the Yellow Pages made a lasting impression on me as did the Science Masters crash tackle and the Maths Masters rucking in the First XV v Teachers Rugby match. Soon found out I wasnt as tough as i thought I was as a know-it-all 17 yr old.
