Seems like for the past 20 years cichlids keepers in the Philippines have been hooked up on Africans only (about 80%), some Central Americans (15%) and a few South Americans & the rest of the world (all genre) (5%). Ive been out of RP for the past 15yrs & still the same types. Were known internationally as one of the ornamental fish exporters but what I see are all the same - predominantly Africans (main factor: they are less troublesome in keeping & maintenance). I wish thered be more variety in the future, especially South Americans (theres a whole lot more than the usual discus, oscars, cichlas, heros, angels). This is my appeal to the admins & to the rest of the cichlid keepers of the Philippines. Thankyou guys.
