Seems like weve been waiting forever for this and tomorrow our adventure begins. We have been making preparations all winter and I think we are ready. Jim McClelland and I leave in the morning to drive to Meyersdale where we will unload our Mountain bikes and pedal to Washington DC. We will be running the lower end of the Great Allegheny Passage Trail and then once we hit Cumberland Md we will be on the C&O Canal Trail following the Potomac River all the way to DC. We will be carrying lots of gear and camping each night along the trail. This is bittersweet because I have been looking forward to this for so long but sadly my wife wont be with me for this adventure. Typically she is right there with me but for this trip she will be home holding down the fort. It will just be me and my loyal sidekick Muck. Pictures and a story will follow upon our return.
