Seems my generation grew up laughing with Robin Williams. We grew - TopicsExpress

Seems my generation grew up laughing with Robin Williams. We grew up witnessing his humor, ability to move from sadness to sheer joy (almost seamlessly), and the genuine warmth of the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled. I remember saying I will marry Mr. Robin Williams someday when I was a kid. Our generation had this connection to him thats now more apparent than ever, now that hes left us, now that weve seen his utter torment and understood the gravity of his genius. How deeply we feel for someone who made us feel so much. Is there anything to learn here? Possibly. Sometimes the things we chase and hold up on a pedestal are the very things that destruct the fabric of our soul. Depression is a funny thing and something I suspect that we suffer from as a culture, not just as individuals. I dont know if there is any one answer, but my heart aches that this is the result.
