Seen Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, my first movie at cinema this year. I liked it. I thought somehow the story reflects the current war situation in Israel-Palestinian conflict all triggered with the killing of 3 Israeli teenagers despite the fact that it was not the work of the Hamas political leadership. Like the movie, its a misunderstanding which ignites the fire. With enough hatred for the other race which is in every way different from them, they easily see their counterparts as apes. When opportunity presents itself and all these apes are on a tower strapped with bombs, it seems like a mindless task for humans to press the bomb trigger in the name of humanity. So the war carries on, like the wildfire that crawls and spreads without showing any signs of stopping, eating away the part that makes us human.
