Seen the News at 6 am this morning absolutely gutted and sad at the Result. And I feel we have missed a huge opportunity for the future of our country. This is more the a wake up call and when the promises dont materialize. But just look at some interesting Facts In terms of History The Scottish referendum of 1979 was a post-legislative referendum to decide whether there was sufficient support for a Scottish Assembly proposed in the Scotland Act 1978 among the Scottish electorate. This was an act to create a devolved deliberative assembly for Scotland. The Act stipulated that it would be repealed if fewer than 40% of the total electorate voted Yes in the referendum. The referendum resulted in a 51.6% support for the proposal, but with a turnout of 64%, this represented only 32.9% of the registered electorate, short of the required 40%. The Act was therefore repealed. In 1979 the TOTAL votes cast was 2.3 M with with 1.2M actually voting YES last night 1.6M voted YES, 2M voted NO in real terms the Gap is bigger for NO - Fact is people want change and it wont come unless we demand change. the bottom line huge number want YES but more people said NO. And now we need to demand these suits deliver on the promises. On a more positive note - These guys dont need to move to England / Wales after all youtube/watch?v=pmGjiokfQ2A
