Segun Melchizedek Edward II I dont know why some people make mountains out of molehills. Did Pastor Tunde Bakare really denigrate Islam by raising a simple observation? That National Nonsense going on is not a religious gathering. His observation was appropriate and in order. The chairman ought to have known better. Imagine if the Ifa man started wih an incantation and the Ogboni man with Yeparipa and like Bakare rightly observed, the Christian starts with Praise The Lord? It would become an unruly gathering where everyone would be offended by the utterances of others. The chairman could say all he wants to say to God in his heart, afterall its to God and not to man and then say what he intends to say to the gathering of men in the language they understand. This is a simple rule of social engagement that Bakare reminded the chairman of and I dont see nothing wrong in that. Is the chairman now God who cannot be told the truth? The moment we began to realize that whether or not Jesus was born by a virgin woman or whether or not God impregnated Mary is immaterial. The most important thing is the walk in the path Jesus set for all, and the better for the two unnecessarily antagonistic religions by the attitudes of adherents.
