Seisero and Ruthy Solomon, 1977 On March 5, 1977, several members of Ohren Ohry’s family were baptized in Mand, along with Seisero and Ruthy Solomon. It is fitting that the first baptisms on the island of Pohnpei occurred in Madolenihmw. This district is home to the ruins of Nan Madol, an ancient canal city called “the Venice of Micronesia.” This area retains a cultural and historical significance because of the civilization that once flourished there.
