Selaginella is an indoor plant, native to Mexico and Central America. With its white tips (which evokes snow) is very attractive at this pre-Christmas time and among tipical Christmas plants like Poinsettia, Schlumbergera and Cyclamen belongs to the best selling indoor plants ever. It is also known as Christmas fern (but its not a classical fern). It can grow up to 30cm in height. Most species offered for sale require a shade or semi-shade place, even temperatures at 18oC all year round and high humidity (spray frequently). Protect from draughts and keep evenly moist. Avoid water-logging and over-watering. Never allow the rootstock to dry out; the plants will not usually recover from this. Give low doses of fertilizer during growing season. This plant can grow as a solitaire, or you can plant it with other interior plants like Kalanchoe, Spathiphyllum etc. Did you know? False Rose of Jericho is a common name for Selaginella lepidophylla. Real Rose of Jericho has scientific name Anastatica hierochuntica. hoya.sk/rady-a-tipy/1437-rastliny-zmtvychvstania hoya.sk/rady-a-tipy/1158-rastliny-v-zime-alebo-ako-ich-qobliecq-do-vianoeneho-qatuq #flowers #plants #kvety #rastliny #flora #zahradkar
