Selah, (pause and think on this) If I get a speeding ticket, I sped, I got stopped, got a ticket, I go before the judge, he says you owe this amount. I pay the judged amount. Now, do I have to be forgiven by the judge? No, he set the amount, I paid it. it is done. or as the Bible says, It is finished Now, sin has a price. God set that price, Jesus. Jesus died, paid the price for my sin, past, present and future. I accept that He paid the price for my sin, Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (in this passage confession means to say the same thing) For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. Now, where in that scripture is begging for forgiveness?? It is not in there. We allow satan to sit on our shoulders and remind us of our failures and we sob and beg for forgiveness. But THE PRICE HAS BEEN PAID! Your ticket was paid, no forgiveness is necessary. God forgives and forgets. Your sin was nailed to the cross. past, present and future. If that was not the case, Jesus would have to be nailed back up there every time you sin. Jesus said Love is the fulfilling of the law. Do we mess up, yes we do. But if we repent (which means change your mind, turn from that direction) it is taken care of. Paul said, I do what I dont want to do, what I want to do, I dont do, oh wretched man I am. if Paul, who wrote about half of the New Testament said he messed up and we know God used him, I urge you , bask in the Love of God, know He loved you so much He gave the ultimate sacrifice, His own son, to die and pay the price, past , present and future for your sin. He wants to Bless your socks off, but we have to believe that not only He wants to, but will. And when we know we have been made the righteousness of God, and He is not judging us, but loving us, we can live in those Blessings.
