Selby has been yarn bombed! Part of the new artistic and horticulture display, Colors of the Tropics….Yarn Bombing is described as a street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn, in lieu of paint or chalk. The practice is believed to have originated in the U.S. with Texas knitters trying to find a creative way to use their leftover and unfinished knitting projects, but it has since spread worldwide. Join us this Friday at 10:30am! Angel Lara, Greenhouse Manager will give an exciting tour of Colors of the Tropics. Learn how nature is affected by color and gain insight into all the whimsical plants and displays. Space is limited. RSVP: [email protected] or call 366-5731 ext 273. Visit selby.org/events/walk-n-talk-tour-colors-tropics-explore-natures-palette to learn more!
