Selena is 34 years old and was diagnosed with stage II cancer in April. She says that prior to being diagnosed with cancer, she was able to manage a modest lifestyle. After she found out she had cancer though, everything has changed. She says that day to day activities are challenging and she’s unable to assist with the simple tasks of living. Selena fell behind in her rent, which increased in the midst of her cancer diagnosis. Bringing Hope Home was able to catch Selena up in her rent this past month. “Dear Bringing Hope Home, Thank you so much for all you are doing! You are a tremendous blessing beyond expressing. It has been a challenging year. Your gentleness and patience, kindness and cheerful reassurance was light and joy unspeakable. Bringing Hope Home is the perfect name. Like running the bases and receiving a home run or taking hope from others home with you. Everything became quite overwhelming; our needs immediate. Receiving news that we would receive the grant was a great comfort and true breakthrough miracle to the heart! We are grateful, humbled, and cannot properly convey all that this means to us. Like a relay race, you hand the baton to countless others, which in turn will pass it onto others. May the circle be unbroken. We, being many, are one. Thanks again, Selena and Mary Lou”
