Self perpetuating unhappiness. The elements of reason. How inhuman we are when we justify ourselves by thought alone and leaving the heart behind. The rhetoric of false claims. Rationality does not mean we are smart. Those moments when I could see how imprisoned she was by her thoughts, that only a bottle a day could do to serve her some relief. Those moments where I saw her pale from mental exhaustion. Avoidance of the real life into a distorted self inflicted realm of abstraction. To the point where her abstractions were real. And one slight gaze into who she really was. Anger. Silence. Glazes. Withdrawal. Distrust. Lack of love and all she could love was wine and her bed bear. And I looked at her and thought how lonely you are. I will show you love. Show you what you missed. Here. Take it. Its on a plate. I love you. But those empty spaces are where she thinks she belongs. Dessert of comfort.
