Semi Final Stumped Mullets v Brewers Keperra 7/9/14 The toss was had under cloudy skies - won by Mullets who elected to bat. The Mullets went in keen to get off to a quick start but lost an early wicket in the 3rd over. Some incredibly tight bowling by the Brewers first 4 bowlers saw runs kept to a minimum until it all became a bit too much for the Mullets - losing wickets in the 9th, 12th, 13th and 14th overs to struggle to 6/76 at drinks. Deano stuck around for a well deserved 30. Then Sticky. Sticky had already watched too many Mullet wickets tumble around him and decided he wasnt going to muck around, digging the Mullets out of a big hole smashing 66 off 38 (including 3 sixes in a row) to elevate the total to 153 all out off 25 overs. The Brewers came in playing some nice aggressive cricket shots. Zac dropped a catch at point first ball before taking an absolute BLINDER on the boundary to catch out the dangerous Crazy Dave and taking another scorcher at point later in the innings. Stoolz batted well for his 23 but the Mullets turned on their best bowling and fielding performance of the year by a mile, knocking the Brewers over for 63 in the 16th. Dean picked up 3, Sticky 2 and Jacko 3. Thanks for a great day Brewers. Legends to play against, I see a good rivalry for years to come! Mullets to the final! Looking forward to it BBCA paul
