Senate Race in my home state... Well now, Thad Cochran, whos been up there since 1978, was almost edged out in the first round of the primary, by a younger candidate--a Conservative, by the way. In the run-off, former Gov. Haley Barbour and everybody who was anybody in the GOP joined forces to win this one for The Gipper. They called on their Democratic friends for help, even played the old familiar race card. They got their man 35,000 Democratic votes, and he won the election by a mere 2,000 vote spread. I say, and a lot of my friends are saying, they won the battle but they lost the war. When I vote in 2016, Ill write in the Mayor of Chunky.
