Senate Stakes I am getting a little tired of the National Media - TopicsExpress

Senate Stakes I am getting a little tired of the National Media in there so called attempt to report news including but not limited to the US Senate election in November. They act as if their hair is on fire over polls they run that they think reflects the future outcome of the US Senate election in November. Then almost daily they run a feature on a certain state(s) with their prediction of who is leading and what will or will not happen election day. They use these well educated young reporters who arent dry behind the ears mixed with at least one political hack and one so called experienced old man consultant and they all make predictions as if they have a crystal ball and know exactly what is going to happen. They mix current events their knowledge learned or accessed from their political science classes and history which they then say this or that who will win or lose mixed with some common sense predictions based on historical trends in past elections. CRAP is all I will say. I am realistic I rely on history and I rely on good old on the ground political experience and I know some of what they are saying is true could be true and the majority of it is false hope. My perception of the cable news is that they are trying to sway public opinion and the election so they have a hot news story from now until 2016. I actually think they want the US Senate majority to switch to Republican resulting in great headline news and total disaster and likely demise of our democracy or what little we have left. To me this is dangerous and the voters in the US need to make good conscious decisions as to who they vote for. They already have mass disinformation ads going on costing millions and they have candidates throwing political fire bombs mostly aimed at social issues. The recent outcome for several elections has been that the hard working people of this country vote against their own self interest. They do not need a high paid reporter who just left their training pants with their mother persuading them or some old man who favors a certain party or ideological view persuading them how to vote. This in the end is driving people away from voting and knowing and believing the real meaning of the freedom we enjoy to vote for our leaders. I am not much on forecasting the outcome of an election. I do know when candidates that I study are either not working or screwing up and ones that are doing the right things and I know our voters here in our county and district and state based on communication with key people all over NC. I say right now a big percentage of our elections in the US Senate are not “Set”, yes some are due to total members of each party and no chance in changing that but states like NC and the race between Senator Kay Hagan and Thom Tillis is truly not set. The most likely winner of this election will be because of some stupid action or statement from either one of them or some sure enough serious national or world event that persuades people to vote in a certain direction. It is really up to you the voter to get educated and informed and vote for you best economic interest and vote right. Our future is at stake. I wish the kiddy corps of pundits would go somewhere and hide until Christmas.
