Senate candidate (Rand Paul) bills himself as a - TopicsExpress

Senate candidate (Rand Paul) bills himself as a “board-certified” physician even though he is not actually certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology — the only recognized body that certifies doctors in his specialty. The American Board of Ophthalmology, which maintains a fully staffed headquarters in Philadelphia, has existed for roughly a century and currently lists about 16,000 doctors on its rolls. (Most hospitals and insurance companies strongly prefer doctors who are board-certified because certification indicates that they have kept up with changes in technology, best practices and so on.) The National Board of Ophthalmology has existed since 1999, when Rand Paul “founded” it, lists no more than seven doctors, and its address is a post-office box in Bowling Green, Ky. Who, once they know the facts about Rand Pauls alleged PhD, would ever acknowledge that he actually has, or earned, a legitimate PhD when he is the one who founded his own certifying board 12 years ago, and it currently consists of 7 doctors versus the peer reviewed certifying board (The American Board of Ophthalmology) of over 16,000 doctors which has been around for over 100 years? -- I assure you, there are a few people in our society who ignorantly, willfully drink the kool aide for Senate conservative candidates like, this man. Those same conservative supporters express irrational asinine delirium in his defense, regardless of the facts about his certified PhD. I have come to realize that I can no longer take any conservative supporter of Rand Paul seriously anymore, except to understand that they are incapable of thinking rationally and are incapable of being an honest person in light of these facts regarding Rand Paul. With him being caught lying to the American people on camera on national TV, if that isnt enough, and now this exposed propaganda of self-certification of a PhD? You decide!
