Senator Ladoja Apologises to the People of Oyo state Over Ajimobi. Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja has apologized to the people of Oyo state for asking them to vote for Isiaka Ajimobi in 2007. The Accord gubernatorial candidate stated this at the Accord campaign rally in the Ibadan Northwest local government area, where the Accord campaign train was yesterday. He explained further that it was on the basis of his asking the people to vote for him then, that gave him( Gov.Ajimobi) the political goodwill that brought him to office in 2011. He regretted however that Senator Ajimobi has squandered that good will through sheer incompetence. He said if the present government had met the peoples expectations there would not have been call for senator Ladoja to return to government. He noted that the Ajimobi led government has practically grounded the education sector in the state. With close to 90 pupils or more per class, from the 30pupils per class that he left it. He further stated that running grants are no more been given to schools wondering if the government wants head teachers to spend their person income in meeting the miscellaneous needs of schools. He also noted that schools are in dilapidated conditions while teachers salaries are consistently irregular. Senator Ladoja noted that while he was in office between 2003 to 2007, he made sure that teachers and civil servants earn their salaries on the 25th of every month and a week to any major festival. he said he employed 5000 NCE teachers and 1800 graduate teachers and built model schools. He asserted that it was most unfortunate for the present government in Oyo state to lie that they have recently employed 5000 teachers, when in reality they employed less than one thousand. And to make matters worse the few teachers they employed in october will start receiving salaries January. He said the government has attracted ridicule from the people because of its propensity to lie to the people about its achievement. Senator Ladoja urge the people to be patient, he said they can effect a positive change with their vote and send the government that has brought them hardship out of office. He reiterated that from May 29th 2015 when he will assume office the pride of Oyo state will be restored. The campaign train was at eleyele garage, Queens cinema, Ifeleye spare parts market, akinlapa market, Nalende and Ayeye areas of the state.
