Senator Rand, I am not a resident of Kentucky, I do not pay taxes to your state, and to be honest I do not believe I have ever driven through it. It is not my intention to waste any of your time so I will keep this brief and to the point. I am an 8 year Army Officer, a small business owner, and a born and raised American. Over the years I have become more and more wary of this country that is full of abuse, scandals, and Government Bullying both in and out of the Military. The only word that I can use to describe the sheer volume of waste, abuse, and fraud that I witness oversees by our own Military and its contracted companies, would be ‘speechless’. And I cannot even begin to tell you how ashamed I was to returned home to America and discover that our Country had become even worse than the state of affairs that I had witnessed in Afghanistan. It is absurd that while flying across the United States, in my military uniform, I was ordered to remove my boots, belt, jacket and then frisked while a Muslim woman wearing a traditional burqa is somehow ‘exempt’ from this treatment! I am horrified to know that my tax dollars are being given away (as a free welfare check) to countries that openly despise us, while me and my fellow soldiers are told that we will be furloughed due to funding? I am sickened to continually see the Government build and build and give themselves more power while the American Citizens are pushed down and their rights are stripped away. So on behalf of all Americans I wanted to take a moment to say God Bless You Senator Rand, and thank you for all that you do for this Country! After reading your book Government Bullies it is clear that you are the voice of reason in Washington DC and I am very grateful for all that you are doing.
